We have options available for children learning the basics right through to adults who enjoy casual laps. Pool access and group aquatics is included in Fitness memberships. Our pools are also open to members and non-members, with 10-pack and 25-pack visits, and walk-in admissions welcome.

Learn to Swim classes are available for infants, children, adults, and individuals with special needs, and are run by experienced instructors who have helped hundreds of people learn the important skill of swimming.

UNDER 5 YEARS OLD

Lessons start at 6-month old through to school-age children. Have fun and make friends learning the important skill of swimming. Our swimming program is conducted by our specially qualified swimming teachers.

Our fun yet safe environment includes activities to stimulate fine motor skills and foot/hand/eye coordination.

COMPETITIVE

Swim squad classes are designed for intermediate and advanced swimmers who are looking to improve their swimming technique, speed, and endurance. Swimmers must be able to swim at least 50 meters of freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke non-stop in order to participate in swim squad classes.

ADULT SWIMMING LESSONS

It’s never too late to learn how to swim or improve your technique! Whether you are a non-swimmer or just looking for some stroke correction – Adult Learn to Swim caters to all abilities of swimming.

We offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels in both our indoor and outdoor pools. Classes are available all year round and run for 30 minutes.

SPECIAL NEEDS SWIMMING LESSONS

More than just swimming lessons, the YMCA AquaSafe program offers fun classes for participants who have learning difficulties, are intellectually and/or physically challenged, disabled or handicapped, or assessed as requiring a special needs program.

Lessons are conducted in an encouraging and social atmosphere with a qualified and experienced swimming teacher who will customise classes for individual needs. Classes can be run as a one-on-one class, small group class of no more than 4 students, or as part of a 'mainstream' group class with a carer to assist under direction from our special-needs qualified aquatic education teacher.

POOL ENTRY FEES & CASUAL ENTRY PASSES
AT THE Y VICTORIA POINT

Our aquatic facilities are open for use to members and non-members who want to do laps, relax in the water or splash around. We also offer Group Fitness Aqua classes.

Casual pool access
Pool access is included in our Gym & Fitness memberships, while non-members may purchase a single-use, 10-visit or 25-visit Pool pass. Our 10-visit and 25-visit Pool passes are for casual lap swimming, water walking, and general splashing around only. They do not include access to Group Fitness Aqua classes. 

Please note that our pool is primarily for program use, so subject to availability, based on pre-existing programs booked in the pool (for example Learn to Swim or Aqua Aerobics classes). Please speak to Reception for more information, or to check availability before your visit. Contact details are at the top of this page.

We also offer casual Group Fitness Aqua classes for $20 per class, and 10-visit Gym & Group Fitness passes for $180.

We Accept Fairplay Vouchers

FairPlay vouchers is one of the initiatives of Activate! Queensland program by Queensland Government to improve physical literacy in the early years and promote more opportunities to be physically active within communities. 

YMCA is proudly a registered activity provider of this program. Parents, carers or guardians can apply for FairPlay vouchers valued up to $150 for your child/ren (aged 5-17).
