With a hydrotherapy pool, heated lap pool, spa, learn to swim pool and river rapids pool, we have options available for children learning the basics right through to adults who enjoy casual laps.

Our range of accessible pool facilities are open to both members and non-members, with aquatic memberships available and walk-in admissions welcome.

Here at WIRAC, we also offer a range of swimming classes run by qualified instructors, including learn to swim, adult squad, aqua aerobics classes and social masters class.

Aquatics Hall Reopening: Temporary Changes

We're excited to welcome you back!

However, some restrictions apply while we rebuild our team:

  • Learn to Swim lessons only in the Aquatic Hall and Hydrotherapy Pool (see your class location).
  • No casual/free swimming before, during, or after weekday lessons — and no siblings in the water while waiting.
  • Saturday public swimming: 9:00am–2:00pm (Baby & Toddler classes continue in the Hydrotherapy Pool).

These changes are temporary and in place purely to keep everyone safe.

We'll notify you as soon as normal access and expanded hours return.

LEARN TO SWIM
AT WIRAC

UNDER 5 YEARS OLD

Lessons start at 4-month old through to school-age children. Have fun and make friends learning the important skill of swimming. Our Swim Australia and Austswim qualified instructors will focus on each child's ability and encourage fun through games, instruction, and social interaction.

Programs are offered for 48 weeks of the year. This includes a “Free” aquatic pass for the student and parent/care giver whilst registered in the program.

SCHOOL AGED

Have fun and make friends learning the important skill of swimming. Our Swim Australia and Austswim qualified instructors will focus on each child's ability and encourage fun through games, instruction, and social interaction.

Programs are offered for 48 weeks of the year. This includes a “Free” aquatic pass for the student and parent/care giver whilst registered in the program.

SWIMMING SQUAD

Students must have completed Dolphin level and/ or must be able to complete a 100m medley in under 3 minutes. This class is available every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30pm to 5pm.

PRIVATE SWIMMING LESSONS

WIRAC offers Private Lessons upon request. Private lessons are 30 minutes with a maximum of 3 students.

HIGH NEEDS SWIMMING LESSONS

WIRAC's High Needs Program is designed specifically to meet the individual student's needs and experience. The lessons are conducted in an encouraging and social atmosphere with a specially qualified swimming instructor.

Our aquatic facilities are open to anyone who wants to do laps, relax in the water or splash around. Swimmers have the option to purchase an aquatic membership, All-in-one membership, 10-visit pass, 25-visit pass or individual entry pass.

HYDROTHERAPY POOL

Hydrotherapy harnesses the healing power of water for both body and mind. It offers pain relief, improved circulation, muscle relaxation, and stress reduction.

It aids in rehabilitation, enhances skin health, aids weight management, and boosts mood. Overall, hydrotherapy provides a holistic approach to wellness through the therapeutic properties of water.

Bookings are ESSENTIAL
45 minute sessions are allowed
Max of 15 people per session.

We Accept SwimStart Vouchers

SwimStart vouchers valued up to $150 can be used towards learn to swim lessons for eligible children aged zero to 4 years.

The Y is proudly a registered activity provider of this program. Parents, carers or guardians can apply for SwimStart vouchers valued up to $150 for your child/ren. These vouchers can be used towards the payment of Learn to Swim fees at any Y Aquatics centre.
