Y COMPETITIVE
Our Y Competitive program sees talented boys and girls become young gymnastics athletes. Y Competitive is open to children and teenagers aged 7+ who have the passion and drive to compete in local, regional, state and national events. See gymnasts grow as they take to the floor in front of coaches, judges and crowds.
Each class in Y Competitive program is run by experienced coaches to help gymnasts reach their full potential. Our Y Competitive gymnasts work hard to take home gold at competitions but are also gracious in defeat.
Our Y Competitive program follows the Gymnastics Australia Levels program. This means gymnasts have the opportunity to compete at Level 3-Level 10 national events, depending on age and skill.
Gymnasts must be aged 7+ years and meet physical ability entry testing requirements. Please contact your local YMCA gymnastics centre for further guidance.

Rhythmic gymnastics is the perfect sport to explore a love of dance, movement and gymnastics in an encouraging environment. The sport combines classical dance, ballet and gymnastic techniques. This female-only sport merges routines of flawless precision with music and apparatus into a breathtaking display of skill, grace and artistic wonder.
Performers demonstrate coordination while completing complex pivots, turns and balances to precision-timed choreographed routines. Gymnasts use ropes, hoops, balls, clubs and ribbons to gracefully move through routines set against music.
Our rhythmic gymnastics program works under the Australian Levels Program and is taught by qualified and experienced coaches.
Rhythmic gymnastics is offered as part of the Y Competitive program at Caloundra and Stafford. The program is offered by invitation only after a trial class. Please contact our Caloundra or Stafford Gymnastics Centres for more information.
