FITNESS CLASSES FOR SENIORS

Senior group fitness program for mature adults. Programs are available at Caloundra & Jamboree Heights.

PrYme Movers, which includes a great range of group fitness activities for mature adults, is based on progressive resistance training, and incorporates aerobic exercise, balance and flexibility classes. However, far from being just an exercise program, PrYme Movers is a powerful social network for our participants who enjoy regular outings together and are encouraged to stay on after their class for coffee and a chat. Whatever you fitness level, there will be a class suited to your needs that will improve your fitness in a safe and friendly environment.

Programs run at two YMCA sites in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast:

PrYme Movers at Caloundra

Proudly presented as a part of Sunshine Coast Council’s Healthy Sunshine Coast program.

PrYme Movers at the Y Caloundra is designed for adults aged 50 years and over. Specialised classes and group activities are run by qualified instructors who have years of experience working with older adults. We also have a lower-intensity Lite series to help you maintain strength, stability and aid better balance and coordination.

  • PrYme Movers: $10 per class
    PrYme Lite: $10 per class or $5 per class with a valid pension card

  • No booking is required, please arrive early for the session

PrYme Movers at Jamboree Heights

  • 50 years & over; non-members welcome

  • Please contact our team for class schedule

  • Members: FREE
    Non-members: $20 per class

  • No booking is required, please arrive early for the session

Classes are aimed at those over 50 and offer a range of different health benefits, including improving bone health, strength fitness and balance. Classes are a combination of strength, cardio and flexibility training, utilising a range of different equipment to give you lots of variety.
