YMCA Active Kids Holiday Program offers the most action packed vacation care program in the region consisting of indoor sports, gymnastics, art and craft activities plus a host of special events that differ each day. Our program changes each holidays but you can expect to see the most exciting activities including:

  • jumping castles
  • Safeguarding Children
  • amazing science shows and workshops
  • fitness classes - especially for kids
  • movies
  • magic shows
  • zorb balls
  • water slides in summer
  • cooking themes
  • and much much more!

When Does the Active Kids Program Operate?

  • YMCA Active Kids Holiday Program operates every school holiday period and also on some pupil free days (please check specific dates).
  • Our doors open at 7am and close at 6pm.
  • Our main activities are held daily from 9am.
  • We also offer our Teen Gym programs (Mon, Wed, Fri : 4.00 -5.00pm - for children 12 years +) with a qualified coach at an additional cost for those families that are interested.

What Age Do Participants Need to Be?

We offer our Active Kids program to children from Prep age through to 15 years of age.

Fees

  • Fees are due prior to attending our program.
  • Fees indicated on the booking form are prior to the CCB/CCR entitlements.
    NB: Families with outstanding fees will not be permitted to enrol their child until fees are paid.
  • CCB - To receive the 50% Childcare Rebate (CCR) you must be registered with Centrelink even if you are on 0%.
    The CCR refunds 50% of your out of pocket expenses. This is NOT INCOME TESTED
  • CCR - Most families using a YMCA program will receive CCB which you may choose to have paid directly to us, and which can be credited to the daily cost of your booking before we send you your statement.
  • Statements are automatically emailed to you upon receipt of your booking request.
  • Fees may be immediately paid via BPAY as outlined on your statement; or in-person at the centre.
  • Bookings are only finalised with full payment of fees
  • Cancellations will not be accepted once the program has resumed.

What to bring?

  • Packed morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea
  • Sun-safe hat (broad brimmed, legionnaires or bucket hats only please)
  • Suitable footwear (running shoes are preferred)
  • Water bottle
  • Swim wear and towel (only when water activities are scheduled)
  • Children should wear shorts or pants rather than skirts to ensure they can participate in all activities offered.
